The decrease in bee colony populations has been associated with various factors, including bacterial diseases. In response, the use of veterinary drugs for prevention or treatment in beekeeping is common, but this practice can result in drug accumulation in honey and other bee products. Consuming contaminated honey may lead to negative health effects, such as allergic reactions, hypersensitivity, carcinogenicity, reproductive issues, and teratogenicity.

This is why it is essential to maintain high levels of analytical performance for the honey matrix as well. To do so, as every year, we propose several interlaboratory circuits for the detection of Veterinary Drug Residues in honey. Among them, in 2025 returns:
