Mycotoxin control in the agrifood supply chain demands analytical precision and robust extraction methods. The variability of matrices and contaminant concentrations requires not only cutting-edge instrumentation but also constant verification of technical competence. Our Mycotoxins Proficiency Tests are designed to provide ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories (or those seeking accreditation) with a rigorous, high-value assessment tool to ensure the reliability of analytical data.
Why choose Progetto Trieste PTs for Mycotoxins?
Incurred Materials
Our approach stands out for the prioritized use of naturally contaminated (incurred) materials. Unlike spiked materials, incurred materials allow you to:
- Evaluate the actual efficiency of the analytical method’s extraction capacity.
- Accurately simulate the conditions of real-world samples that your laboratory analyzes daily.
Wide Spectrum of Matrices
We offer a broad variety of PTs ranging from cereals to feed, dairy products to spices, ensuring comprehensive coverage for your scope of accreditation.
Separate Evaluation: Screening and Confirmation
In our circuits, results from screening and confirmation methods are evaluated separately, with the assigned value derived exclusively from quantitative confirmation results. This feature complies with the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17043:2010 requirement to use “fit-for-purpose” evaluation methods, making the assigned value more reliable and the assessment more valid. Even when evaluating a screening method, the PT simulates your routine workflow (comparing your results with confirmation data). Semi-quantitative results (< or >) from screening methods receive evaluations based on dedicated criteria, allowing every lab to monitor performance according to the specific technique used. Quantitative results for both screening and confirmation are evaluated via z-score.
Dedicated Technical Support
Beyond sample provision, our team offers qualified technical assistance for both pre- and post-sales support.
