These new PTs have been implemented because we are sure that they can be adding to the market new opportunities that can be highly appreciated by the laboratories.
PT for the research of Aflatoxins B&G and Ochratoxin A in hazelnut cocoa spread (code N5603)
Round of June 2025
This PT has been implemented following the request laboratories in the confectionery industry that have placed their trust in our services over several years.
- Deadline for online orders: May 2nd 2025
- Shipping date: June 16th 2025
- Test Material: hazelnut cocoa spread, 55g x 1 Test Material (in case the provided volume is not enough, it is possible to order additional material at a reduced price).

PT for the research of Ochratoxin A
in green AND roasted coffee (code GC+RC5602)

In 2025 we decided to provide a wider and more complete offer for the PT of Ochratoxin A in coffee. We will infact provide both roasted and green coffee with 1 supscription. We are sure that this approach can be appreciated from all laboratories, both those who mostly analyse green coffee and those who mostly analyse roasted coffee.

This PT has been implemented because it has specifically been required by some of our customers, including National Reference Laboratories that that have placed their trust in our services over several years.

- Test Material: rice, 55g x 1 Test Material (in case the provided volume is not enough, it is possible to order additional material at a reduced price).

PT for the research of Zearalenone in maize oil (code O5709)
Round of October 2025
This PT has been implemented following the request of some National Reference Laboratory, that are asking us to introduce this service from several years now. Moreover, the most recent Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/915 confirms the interest on this combination matrix/analyte.

- Shipping date: October 20th 2025
- Test Material: Maize oil, 30ml x 1 Test Material (in case the provided volume is not enough, it is possible to order additional material at a reduced price).
- Analytes under study: zearalenone

With us the convenience doubles! For all PTs belong to Progetto Trieste you can submit 2 sets of results: with a single submission you will receive the evaluation of 2 laboratory technicians or 2 analytical methods directly in the Final Report.
Separate evaluation data for screening and confirmatory methods, with the assigned value deriving only from quantitative confirmatory results. This feature of our PTs respects the requirement of UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17043:2010 to use fit-for-purpose methods of evaluation, makes the assigned value more reliable and the assessment more valid. Even if you are using a screening method, the PT simulates what you would do in the routine (comparing your results with confirmatory ones). The semi-quantitative (< or >) screening results receive evaluations provided with dedicated criteria. The quantitative screening and confirmatory results are evaluated through z-score.
